SDEP – Data Entry is one of the main stages forming the digital transformation process, as the output will be the fields that are to be searched to retrieve the documents requested. So, if the data is not entered properly this may lead to an inefficient system and all the efforts performed will be spoiled. At the same time this operation may turn to become a big burden to the service provider if it is not handled intelligently and properly. Streams solution was introduced to handle this operation with a smart and optimum process to ensure its quality and speed.

Throughout the past years Streams studied and assessed the Data Entry operation from the following axis:
- Operators’ Behavior
- Audit & Quality
- Common Data Entry tools
The main challenges were concluded as follows:
- However quick the operators are, yet their numbers may not fulfill the huge operations.
- There are Data Entry Operators who prefer certain type of data (names, numeric, dates, ..) and they are very productive in these types compared to the other types
- Fetching the data fields from different locations in the scanned sheets may take long time from the Data Entry Operator
- It is very productive to be focused on one field type having the same nature and format
- All the pre-mentioned points are also applied on the Audit Phase of the Data Entry procedure
Our Invention
Streams Innovation team created a new Data Entry Platform (SDEP) with a seamless integration with the DDMS system which controls the full digital transformation operation. This platform facilitates the process of extracting the images just containing the data to be input (portion of the page) to be shown to the operators separately where they key-in the value of those fields.
